Jak dowiedziało się radio RMF FM nowym prezesem Powszechnego Zakładu Ubezpieczeń SA będzie prawdopodobnie Rafał Antczak, doradca ekonomiczny PZU. Zastąpić ma na tym stanowisku odwołanego dziś Jaromira Netzla.
Antczak potwierdził, że otrzymał taką propozycję, jednak nie chce jej na razie komentować. Byłaby to mimo wszystko zaskakująca nominacja. Już samo zatrudnienie w PZU SA Rafała Antczaka musiało mocno zaszokować uważnych obserwatorów zarówno rynku jak i życia politycznego. Dlaczego? Antczak ma dwie cechy, które powinny dyskwalifikować go w oczach obecnej władzy ( nie zapominajmy, że nominacja na najwyższe stanowiska w Grupie PZU jest aktem politycznym, podobnie, jak w przypadku kilku innych spółek, choćby Orlenu czy KGHM ): po pierwsze jest ekspertem z Centrum Analiz Społeczno – Ekonomicznych ( w skrócie CASE ), czyli fundacji związanej z Leszkiem Balcerowiczem ( nie cieszącym się, mówiąc oględnie, względami dziś rządzących ). Po drugie – był ekspertem ekonomicznym Platformy Obywatelskiej ( chyba nie trzeba więcej dodawać ).
A jednak został głównym ekonomistą Grupy PZU – czyli może, wbrew twierdzeniom wielu komentatorów, obecna władza i jej reprezentanci w spółkach Skarbu Państwa kierują się również kompetencjami przy zatrudnianiu kadry menedżerskiej – bo tych Rafałowi Antczakowi trudno odmówić. Co więcej, pamiętając wystąpienia Antczaka podczas Walnych Zgromadzeń PZU SA nie sposób nie zauważyć oprócz świetnego przygotowania merytorycznego jego przekonywującej lojalności wobec pracodawcy i twardej obrony interesów firmy.
Tyle tytułem opinii na temat Rafała Antczaka. Chociaż nie – mam jeszcze jedno spostrzeżenie: jeżeli otrzymałby on i przyjął nominację na stanowisko największego polskiego ubezpieczyciela to obawy związane z losem PZU SA, które wzbudziły ostatnie zawirowania personalne na szczytach władzy narodowego ubezpieczyciela szybko by zniknęły – w końcu na „gorącym krześle” szefa PZU zasiadłby fachowiec pełną gębą.rnrnA jak będzie? Czas pokaże…

W 1994 roku ukończył studia na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim (jest magistrem ekonomii), jest absolwentem Comprehensive Course in Market Economics na Joint Vienna Institute (1997). Specjalizuje się w makroekonomicznych aspektach transformacji i w polityce monetarnej.rnrnrnPrócz badań naukowych, był doradcą na Białorusi z ramienia Banku Światowego w latach 2001-2002.
