Na obszary dotknięte przez wielką wodę swoich likwidatorów wysyła PZU. Dziś w Zgorzelcu pojawi się Mobilne Biuro PZU, które jutro ma także udać się do Bogatyni. Towarzystwo zapewnia, ze w obu dotkniętych katastrofą miastach Biuro będzie urzędować do ostatniego klienta. W pełnej gotowości są również rzeczoznawcy Generali, które ubezpiecza gminę Bogatynia.
Ochroną ubezpieczyciela są objęte budynki gminne Bogatyni oraz firma Bogatyńskie Wodociągi i Oczyszczalnia S.A. Ubezpieczenie obejmuje zarówno całość majątku spółki (budynki, maszyny itp.) jak i straty z tytułu utraty zysku w skutek zdarzeń losowych objętych ubezpieczeniem (Business Interruption).
W ramach dodatkowej pomocy Generali zdecydowało się na przekazanie środków finansowych na zakup najpotrzebniejszych artykułów dla poszkodowanych w powodzi na tym terenie, w tym m.in. na zakup wody i środków czystości. Niezależnie oddział Generali we Wrocławiu przy ul. Prostej 36 prowadzi obecnie zbiórkę żywności, wody oraz artykułów chemicznych dla mieszkańców Bogatyni.
Tegoroczne ulewy i wywołane przez nie powodzie są przyczyną dużych strat polskiego sektora ubezpieczeń. Z raportu Komisji Nadzoru Finansowego, sporządzonego na podstawie danych majątkowych towarzystw ubezpieczeń wynika, że na dzień 29 lipca ubezpieczeni zgłosili 207 508 szkód powstałych na skutek wielkiej wody. Łączna wartość zobowiązań zakładów z tytułu zawartych umów jest aktualnie obliczana na 1160,7 mln zł (440,7 mln zł po uwzględnieniu reasekuracji). Obecnie wartość wypłaconych odszkodowań brutto (bez udziału reasekuracji) wynosi 360,4 mln zł (262,8 mln zł mln zł po uwzględnieniu reasekuracji). Komisja poinformowała również, że wartość rezerwy na niewypłacone odszkodowania i świadczenia brutto (bez udziału reasekuracji) w związku ze zgłoszonymi już szkodami na dzień 29 lipca wyniosła 800,2 mln zł, natomiast po uwzględnieniu reasekuracji uplasowała się na poziomie 177,9 mln zł. Średnia wartość szkody brutto (bez udziału reasekuracji) wynosi obecnie 5,6 tys. zł, natomiast średnia wartość szkody na udziale własnym po uwzględnieniu reasekuracji jest aktualnie obliczana na 2,1 tys. zł. Udział reasekuratorów w szacowanych szkodach wynosi obecnie 62%. Wpływ skutków powodziowych na wynik finansowy netto oraz wynik techniczny sygnalizowały już w swoich półrocznych raportach finansowych Warta i Aviva. Od wielu tygodni analitycy rynku ubezpieczeń przewidują, że w konsekwencji tegorocznych katastrof naturalnych towarzystwa zostaną zmuszone do podniesienia stawek w niektórych ubezpieczeniach.
