W takiej sytuacji firma ubezpieczeniowa rozliczy się ze sprzedawcą pojazdu, zwracając mu składkę za niewykorzystany okres ubezpieczenia (oczywiście o ile firma ubezpieczeniowa nie wypłaciła, ani nie jest zobowiązana do wypłaty odszkodowania za szkody objęte tym ubezpieczeniem).
Jeżeli jesteś nabywcą pojazdu, możesz postąpić tak, aby jego sprzedaż nie oznaczała dla Ciebie automatycznej straty pieniędzy, wydanych wcześniej na roczną polisę OC. Spróbuj, za zgodą nabywcy, doliczyć niewykorzystaną składkę do ceny sprzedawanego auta. Ewentualnie, w umowie kupna -sprzedaży zawrzyj zapis, na podstawie którego nabywca będzie miał obowiązek zwrotu Tobie równowartości niewykorzystanej składki w przypadku odstąpienia od rezygnacji z ubezpieczenia. W takim przypadku, nabywca będzie miał dwa rozwiązania: albo zrezygnuje z umowy ubezpieczenia – wówczas otrzymasz od firmy ubezpieczeniowej zwrot składki za niewykorzystany okres ubezpieczenia, albo nabywca zwróci Ci równowartość tej składki.
Pamiętaj też, że sprzedając samochód, powinieneś go wyrejestrować oraz zawiadomić o tym firmę ubezpieczeniową !.
Zasady, o których tu piszemy nie dotyczą ubezpieczenia AC. Ubezpieczenie to, bowiem nie przechodzi automatycznie na kupującego samochód. Dlatego, chcąc się zabezpieczyć przed kradzieżą pojazdu lub innymi szkodami, pomyśl o własnej polisie AC.
